Silver Cross (formerly Will/Grundy) EMS System is now located in New Lenox IL. The name change came with much consideration, but with the move to the Replacement Hospital in February 2012 and the new Silver Cross branding, and the addition of another EMS System in Grundy county, it was the perfect time. You will see the name and logo change as we order new and replacement items.
The Silver Cross EMS System is a network of fire departments, ambulance services, industrial responders, training centers and hospitals, all committed to providing the highest quality of pre-hospital patient care. Silver Cross Hospital, a 100 Top Hospitals National award winner for seven years in a row "2005-2011", is the state-designated Resource Hospital for the Silver Cross EMS System and has been since the System's inception in May of 1975. Together, EMS and Silver Cross Hospital provide primary and continuing medical education, quality assurance and administrative support to our agencies and providers.
